“Fornrít Fara: Myrkrmáni” — As the vibrant tapestry of summer fades, yielding its life to the inevitable cycle, autumn's first breath whispers across the land. This gradual emergence, a slow dance of seasons, heralds the onset of winter's chill.

Draugablíkk, in reverence to the natural order, prepares to solemnize this year's September equinox, known in the ancient tongue as “Haustrblót,” on the auspicious day in September 23.

Amid this seasonal transformation, we, the members of Draugablíkk, gathered — united not just in location but in purpose and spirit.

Our minds were clear, focused on the sacred rites and the profound significance of this celestial event. It was a gathering of high spirits, where the essence of our collective intention resonated with the ancient traditions of our forebears.

The Haustrblót, an ancient Norse festival, symbolizes the equilibrium between day and night, a fleeting moment of perfect balance before the descent into the darker half of the year.

It's a time to honor the harvest, give thanks for the abundance of the summer, and prepare for the introspective period that winter brings. In this sacred celebration, we embrace the continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth that is echoed in the natural world.

As Draugablíkk, our participation in the Haustrblót was more than just a ceremonial observance; it was a spiritual journey, a deep reflection on the rhythms of nature and our place within them.

We stood together, as the day and night held equal sway, contemplating the impermanence and the eternal renewal that each equinox teaches us.

In honoring the September equinox, we connect with the ancient wisdom and practices of our ancestors. This celebration is a testament to the enduring legacy of our heritage, a tradition that has been passed down through generations, and one that we proudly uphold.

This is "experimental dark folk". A genre of its own. The Tagelharpa distortion in Cauterize is overwhelmingly awesome. Though I very much like the "Harpa heavy" way they went later on, I enjoy to hear this album and the industrial influenced songs. The high energy of "The march of the stones" is a worthy theme for a landslide. Krowoff
