“Grímnir: At Sumri”! 🔥 ⚔️

Why the March 29 release date of this twin single? Because sígrblot, a Norse ritual, marks the beginning of summer in April, aligning with the Viking Age's two-season calendar.

Influenced by Scandinavia's location, the sígrblot (nowadays we call it spring) was key for the Old Gods’ blessings for victory and abundance.

By honoring deities such as Odin, Thor, and Freyr with sacrifices, you too can align with the natural world's spiritual rhythms to ensure a good summer half-year, success, and prosperity.

What lit the creative spark that resulted in the creation of this song?

There is a war beyond the veil that refracts through time. It partially manifests in our world—as above so below, as within so without.

Our adversaries draw near, their shrieks echoing from the deepest depths of their souls. If you can sense them, you have the blíkk.

The precursor of death glimmers as they seek to destroy Miðgarðr — our world. But fear not, for they shall not triumph.

Their sacred rites shall be reduced to naught but smoldering ashes as our future is bound by ancestral blood, while theirs — devoid of essence and spirit — is entangled within the clutches of darkness.

The Old Gods are watching.
